Housekeeping Services provides a clean environment for students, faculty, and staff in the academic campus buildings. Presently, we are responsible for over 3,600,000 square feet of space that is used by approximately 29,000 people.
Custodial Services cleans the academic and administrative spaces on campus. This includes classrooms, teaching labs, offices, lobbies, rest rooms, hallways, stairs, conference rooms, gyms, locker rooms, and more. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, stocking the rest rooms, washing blackboards, trash removal, and entrance snow removal. We are the administrators for contracted cleaning and window washing.
The Residential/Dining facilities have their own housekeeping staff.
Housekeeping Services also manages the pest control contract for academic spaces, including bee/wasp and termite problems. We are also responsible for mice/rat control in our buildings and the grounds immediately adjacent to them. We are involved with animal removal (birds, skunks, cats, etc.) in the academic buildings.

Technicians are available on most shifts to respond to emergency calls until midnight Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
