Ridesharing with GoLoco
Virginia Tech is one of the first universities to partner with GoLoco, a service that helps people quickly arrange ride sharing between friends, neighbors, and colleagues. GoLoco also handles online payments from passengers to drivers for their share of the trip costs.
- Share costs with everyone traveling in the car
- See friends and make more friends
- Save the planet by cutting the per person CO2 emissions in half or more, for each and every trip.
Want to know more? Visit GoLoco.
Ridesharing with RIDE Solutions
RIDE Solutions makes finding carpool partners easy. We maintain a database of people who are interested in carpooling, as well as information on their origin and destination points, their work schedule, and preference for driving, riding, or alternating. Visit RIDE Solutions or call 1-866-424-3334.
Vanpooling
The VT Vanpool Program is a one year pilot program available for full-time, permanent employees for commuting purposes. If you're interested in sharing the ride with other full-time employees, learn more about the program or contact Debby Freed at dfreed@vt.edu or 231-0248.
