Special Events Parking
All special events on campus that anticipate 50 or more visitors need to call 231-7633 or e-mail grsmith3@vt.edu to coordinate the parking requirements. This will assist in identifying the most appropriate parking location for event visitors and coordinate event parking permits. We hope that working with Special Event Parking will reduce the rate of conflicts with other parking customers on campus.
Blacksburg Transit Conference Pass Program
The Office of Transportation and Blacksburg Transit (BT) have developed a program specifically designed for guests of Virginia Tech. For a minimal up-front fee by the organizer of the event, your guests can ride the BT fare-free around campus, around town or even to the mall! The program is designed to make it easier for your guests to hop on the Hokie Express around campus or one of the other BT routes around town without having to worry about loose change. Here's how the program works.
- Download and fill out a BT Conference Pass registration form, or call BT at 540-961-1185.
- Pay BT one nominal fee (see below) for the entire group to ride the BT for the length of the conference.
- BT sends you BT Conference Passes to distribute to your guests.
- Participants show their pass upon boarding the bus and ride all the BT routes fare-free.
