New Construction

The New Construction division is resourced with a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Field Engineers to provide "cradle to grave" management during all phases of a capital project thru occupancy. The team works closely with the sponsoring College/Department, the future building user(s), and other stakeholders to achieve a successful project outcome.

After a new capital project is authorized and initial planning is complete, it is assigned to a Project Manager for execution. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the design and construction process for assigned university capital projects. He/She leads the project team and monitors overall project schedule, budget, quality, and compliance with program and quality requirements. The New Construction division provides design and construction management, construction quality assurance, coordinates construction activities with university operations, and monitors specialized construction inspections/testing. Our Assistant Project Managers and Field Engineers work closely with the Project Manager in the overall management of the project through user occupancy.

The division uses 3 methods project delivery methods: Traditional method (Design-Bid-Build), Construction Management at Risk, and Design-Build. Currently New Construction is managing projects valued more then $400 million in various stages of design and construction.
