Directions to the Overflow Lot (Primary Drop Site)

Take Washington Street west until it ends at "The Cage"
(student parking lot).
- Take a right down the hill on Duckpond Drive.

Pass Smithfield Rd on your left, and then as Duckpond Drive begins
to veer to the right around the duckpond.
- Take a left on Oak Lane.
- Turn into the Overflow Lot from Oak Lane.

Drive to the southwest corner of the lot and you will see a big
bin for paper (Sorted Office Paper/Newspaper, Glossy Magazines
and Catalogs), and smaller bins for Corrugated Cardboard,
Phonebooks and Campus Directories, and Commingled Containers.
Directions to the VTR Office
- From the Virginia Tech exit off Rt. 460, follow Southgate Drive
and turn left immediately after the Stadium parking lot.
- Follow this road about 1/4 mile to the Sterret Facilities Complex.
- Continue following the road between the long brick building on the left
(Physical Plant) and the gas pumps on the right (Motor Pool)
- Look for a third building ahead and slightly to the right. Park
near the far end of the building (Grounds Department)
- Walk up the stone steps and through the glass doors
- The VTR office is very close by, in 105D.
- From the corner of Washington Street and Kent Street,
turn south on Kent Street and go one block to Clay Sreet.
- Take a left at Clay Street and go about 40 yrds and turn right
on Harrell Street.
- Follow Harrell Street about three blocks until you come to a
green chain link fence and gate, the back entrance to the
Sterrett Facilities Complex.
- Come through the gate and as the road bends right, the Grounds
Department building will be "dead ahead."
- Walk up the stone steps and through the glass doors
- The VTR office is very close by, in 105D.
