Getting Students Home
- Home Ride of Virginia provides students with weekend and holiday bus service from Blacksburg to Northern Virginia, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Richmond and the Tidewater Area.
- Home Ride is a bus service designed specifically for Virginia Tech. Buses leave Virginia Tech on Fridays and return on Sunday afternoons.
- Home Ride covers all breaks including Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break.
- Tickets can be purchased at the University Bookstore at Virginia Tech, or by calling (800) 553-6644.

Ride sharing with GoLoco
Virginia Tech has partnered with GoLoco, a service that helps people quickly arrange ride sharing between friends, neighbors, and colleagues. GoLoco also handles online payments from passengers to drivers for their share of the trip costs.

Airport Shuttle
- The Roanoke Airport Transportation Service, Inc. provides an Airport Shuttle Service between Blacksburg and the Roanoke Regional Airport.
- Vans leave from the Squires Student Center, Inn at Virginia Tech, and University Holiday Inn.
- Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1-800-288-1958.

Blacksburg-Roanoke (SmartWay) Shuttle
The new SmartWay shuttle provides bus service between the Roanoke Valley and the Virginia Tech Campus. The bright blue SmartWay buses provide service between Squires (Alumni Mall inbound side), the Roanoke Regional Airport and downtown Roanoke.
