ANALYTICS

The Analytics team is responsible for the division’s strategic vision, primary development, and ongoing support for the Integrated Work Management System (IWMS), HokieServ.  The general strategic vision is to expand current HokieServ modules, implement new functionality, provide a uniform and sustainable platform which supports the defined business processes of all departments within the division, and to better serve and support the mission of the university.  Administrative activities handled on a day-to-day basis include, but are not limited to; ad-hoc requests, continuous improvement functionality, process improvement and automation, technical and end-user support, training, user administration, dashboard setup, providing data and data analysis to division leaders to drive informed decisions, and other administrative tasks.

HOKIESERV

HokieServ provides an accessible, centralized system to maintain data and process transactions. By using a centralized system, great efficiencies can be realized through operational use and a single stream for technical support. HokieServ has direct integration to Banner and HokieMart, allowing transactions to be processed more seamlessly. It can track related expenses, time charges, costs, and related documents by project or task, and independently track material, equipment, contracts, and labor allowing for improved accounting and project management.
