Office of University Planning

The Office of University Planning is responsible for the long-term planning of the university and the management of its space.

The Office of University Planning oversees three primary areas:

  • Architecture/Planning - Provides professional guidance and leadership to the long-range planning of Virginia Tech's building environment as it relates to all functions of design including master plans, public art, building design, signage, ADA planning, and all other elements in support of the university's mission and strategic vision.
  • Site Planning and Development - Provides professional guidance and leadership for the long-range planning of Virginia Tech's physical environment to include site design, site development and transportation planning, along with the design of campus landscape in support of the university's mission and strategic vision.
  • Space Management - Provides effective vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the development and management of a campus wide space management policy in an effort to efficiently utilize campus physical space assets.
